Busker Devil's song lyrics
By Jon Cooksey

Song #1

Morgan walks down the street, looking pissed off. Then he hears someone SINGING a fast, cheerful folk song. He turns to see a BUSKER singing and playing a guitar for coins.

THE DEVIL
Oh I got me a little bit o' trouble
So I got me a solution on the double
Took a little drink but it weren't no liquor
My little flask got somethin' even quicker
Why go on feeling all sad insiiiide...
When you can take a little sip of cyanide?

Song #2

The Devil launches into a new folkish song, this one a bit mournful. Under this, Morgan gives him a sour look and exits.

THE DEVIL
This is the tale of poor old Bill
His dog was dead and his wife was ill
His hand got bit off by an Arctic cod
That's when he knew there was no God
Life is bad
And it just gets worse
You're all alone in the universe...

Song #3

The Busker-Devil sits on the steps of the lower-class house, singing a romantic-sounding folk song.

THE DEVIL
Edwin Yancy is a gentle man
He'll reach out and take your hand
Then before you can even blink he
Will slit your throat and cut off your pinkie...
